Camilla Chafer
Camilla lives with her partner and their three children in North London where she still feels like a tourist. Like many with a young family she's very keen on searching out lovely UK holiday spots with recent holidays being in the Lake District and Cornwall. Camilla's most exciting trip to date (when they were merely two, plus one) was in the USA where she was wowed by the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas and LA. Camilla and family are big on day trips, keen on culture and not so thrilled about packing for the 5,000 every time they leave the house.
Camilla has written for publications including The Telegraph and Guardian and also blogs at www.technoglam.com
Keris Stainton
Keris's first family holiday was in Malta in 1976 where she ignored her dad's (and Baloo's) advice and picked a prickly pear. Her last holiday was in Norfolk with her husband and four-year-old son, Harry and was a practically perfect, Enid Blyton-style summer holiday: fish and chips, open fires, windswept beaches and ants in the sandwiches. Her next holiday will be to Disneyland Paris with her husband, four-year-old son and three-month-old baby, Joe, and she doesn't know who's more excited. (Check out Keris's fabulous books blog too.) Catherine CooperCatherine is a mum of two who has recently relocated to SW France, where she veers between loving and hating it, generally according to the weather and current state of house renovations. She is a travel journalist who has travelled widely with her family from trekking on camels and mules in Morocco, riding donkeys in Northern France, staying in a caravan in Bournemouth to five-star hotels all over Europe. Best trips have included Marrakesh, any spa which has a crèche and in the winter, skiing anywhere at all.
Amanda Fazani Amanda lives in sunny Sheffield with her husband, her teenage son and Paris Hilton (otherwise known as: Little Princess, aged four), plus her twin stepchildren who come to stay for weekends and school holidays. She writes fabulous frugal tips for mummies at Glamumous and offers her expertise with Google Blogger at Blogger Buster. Amanda and her family are regular travellers to Tunisia where her husband’s family live. She also enjoys cheap and cheerful day trips to Cleethorpes and theme parks, and is always on the lookout for money-saving offers...Linda Jones
Linda is a mum of twins, Emily and Melissa, now 10, who also blogs at Got Your Hands Full. She visits Quay West caravan park in New Quay, Wales, every year where her mum has a caravan and loves it, even if these days her mum insists it's a holiday home! Childhood holidays were often spent in Tenby. Linda's most exotic holiday was to Goa where she celebrated her 30th birthday on the beach in a size 10 bikini after a year at WeightWatchers. She has never been back - to Goa or WeightWatchers. Oh and she loves Blackpool too.
Linda is also the director of Midlands agency, Passionate Media and an author. Check out her freelance writing tips blog here. She's a former news editor on a couple of regional papers and former editor of an English-language weekly in St Petersburg, Russia. She studied in Lyon and Leningrad. She has added this information, if you must know, so you can see there is more to her than a love of Blackpool and cake, thank you. Some examples of work are here.
Carol Garrington
Carol is Linda's co-director at Passionate Media and mum to Dylan and Morgan, aged eight and 10. She loves the seaside and has an intriguing history of static caravans at various far-flung resorts such as Churchstoke. Carol gets travel sick very easily and moans if she has to drive for more than an hour. As she lives in the West Midlands, this is far from ideal, a bit like when the people from Tamworth used to win a speedboat on Bullseye.
Erica Douglas
Erica lives with her husband and daughter just outside Edinburgh. She blogs about parenting and life at www.littlemummy.com Erica loves to go on day trips in and around Edinburgh. Originally from Wales, she enjoyed chldhood holidays in Tenby, and still visits the Gower and Mumbles once a year. Erica also visits a family owned caravan in Pitlochry and is a big fan of gripping Linda's arm *until there are red marks* on The Tower of Terror.
* Ouch. It still smarts.
Becky Englishmum
Becky is originally from Hertfordshire, but now lives in the green and pleasant Irish county of Cavan with her husband, two sons and a neurotic, shoe-obsessed greyhound called Bert. Becky's favourite things are cooking, shopping, hot baths, dark chocolate and a nice glass of red (not necessarily in that order). Her dream holiday would be a Christmas trip to Walt Disney World, Florida (flying Upper Class) with her entire extended family (flying Economy). Becky also blogs at English Mum in Ireland.
