Dirty Dancing comes to Stoke-on-Trent theatre

D“Nobody puts Baby in a corner.”

Actually,  our reviewer Kim is so looking forward to going and watching the stage production of Dirty Dancing at The Regent Theatre next week that she probably wouldn’t mind being sat in a corner.

The hit musical, which followed on from the world-wide smash hit film begins a run of almost three weeks next Tuesday (March 12) at the theatre in Stoke-on-Trent, as part of the show’s first national tour.

It features American actress Jill Winternitz as Baby Houseman, the role taken by Jennifer Grey in the film, who discovers love and life in the summer she will never forget. She plays opposite Paul Michael Jones, who has attracted huge critical and public acclaim on the tour so far, as Johnny Castle, the iconic role made so famous by Patrick Swayze in the 1987 movie.

Whether she’s in the corner or not, we’re hoping there’s a bit of space around Kim because we’re pretty sure she’s going to be up and dancing.  We think she’s going to like it – check back here next week to read her full review.

Dirty Dancing begins its run at The Regent on March 12 and continues its run until the 30th.
